KANFA and Technip Energies are proud to have partnered with Carbon Centric to Complete the Engineering, Procurement and Fabrication of the Carbon Centric Post-Combustion Carbon Capture plant in Rakkestad Norway.
The site was officially inaugurated in October 2026 and is designed to capture 10,000 tonnes of CO2 a year with a capture rate above 95% by leveraging Shell CANSOLV® CO2 Capture System.

This milestone is an exciting achievement for the Shell Catalysts & Technologies and Technip Energies alliance teams to deliver one of Norway’s first waste-to-energy sites equipped for full CO2 capture and utilisation.
As a committed and integrated team of experts, we are proud to have supported this project to enable the seamless execution and continuous performance optimization of Canopy C10, a modular productized carbon capture unit from the Canopy by T.EN™ range.
Kenneth Juul, Chief Commercial Officer and Co-Founder of Carbon Centric:
“Carbon capture is no longer a future concept. By using standardized, prefabricated, and modular systems, we reduce cost and deployment time, making it viable even for medium and smaller emitters. Combined with Carbon Centric’s end-to-end ownership model, which removes both investment and execution risk from the emitter, this unlocks carbon capture at scale.”
Aleksander Bugge, Managing Director of KANFA:
“Delivered through the Alliance between Shell Catalysts & Technologies and Technip Energies, and strongly supported by our team at KANFA, this project clearly demonstrates how effective collaboration and integrated expertise accelerate the deployment of carbon capture solutions and deliver real, tangible impact. It has been a pleasure to work alongside Carbon Centric on this pioneering project. The strong partnership, shared ambition and commitment from all parties have been instrumental in bringing this milestone facility to life.”
