EICT Discipline Lead

KANFA is expanding its business areas and in that context is experiencing increased demand. We have over 20 years of experience from the oil industry and will continue this expertise into a future with lower carbon emissions from the energy sector.

We now need to strengthen our EICT department with a skilled resource with instrumentation or electrical background.

The EICT Discipline Lead is responsible for managing the EICT disciplines in the projects. EICT consists of the following disciplines: Electrical, Instrumentation, Controls and Telecom. The EICT Discipline Lead is also the main contact for coordination and clarifications with customers, and professional support for the purchase of EICT packages in projects.

You will be part of a team that works with the ongoing projects at KANFA, both within oil & gas and energy conversion. The tasks will vary depending on your experience and competence.

Typical tasks will be:

  • Lead Engineering within the EICT disciplines in EPC projects and studies
  • Plan and follow up activities and document releases in projects
  • Ensure that the EICT design is in accordance with the applicable standards, regulations and specifications in the project
  • Be single point of contact for the other disciplines in the project for EICT-related questions
  • Contribute to tender work
  • Extensive customer and supplier contact
  • Follow-up of EICT-related procurement package

What we want from you:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in technical/engineering subjects
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience within energy/electricity/industry/oil and gas market (onshore or offshore)
  • Broad academic background from EICT disciplines, with a particular focus on Instrument or Electrical discipline
  • Experience from management and engineering of offshore or land-based factories/facilities, as well as general project work
  • Desirable with experience from follow-up around building/construction in projects

Due to the requirements of the work, we wish that you have good communication skills in English, both written and spoken. Daily work to be conducted from one of our offices in Lysaker (preferred) or Trondheim.
